Welcome to planDisney, Michelle!
First, congratulations on joining the
Disney Vacation Club family, and Welcome Home! Disney Vacation Club is truly a Membership like no other, and some of my family's most precious memories are all thanks to DVC. Let's take a look at banking
Vacation Points.
One of my favorite features of a DVC Membership is flexibility. I can
bank or borrow Vacation Points depending on the needs of my family from year to year. I recommend starting at the
Vacation Points Overview page whenever you are considering banking or borrowing. You will be able to see how many Points you have available and how many Points are left to bank. There are specific
rules around banking your Vacation Points. Points can only be banked from your current Use Year into the next Use Year, Points must be banked up to four months before the end of your Use Year, and all banking transactions are final. The options for your Points will depend on which Year they are from. If they are 2022 Points, then they likely will expire just before October. However, if they are 2023 Points, then they shouldn't expire until September 30, 2024. If those eight Points do have an expiration of October 2023, you may still have an option to save them. Depending on the expiration, your Points may still be eligible to be deposited for future use with
Interval International. Since I can't see the specifics of your Points, I suggest you give
DVC Member Services a call. A friendly DVC Vacation Advisor will be able to walk you through your options for those extra Vacation Points.
Thank you for visiting planDisney. We are here for all your Disney Vacation Club questions!
Enjoy making magical DVC memories!
