You must be so excited to be staying at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. It's right on the
Walt Disney World Resort Monorail line, giving you direct access to Magic Kingdom Park and the other Monorail resorts as well as EPCOT. It's also the closest walking distance to Magic Kingdom, giving you many options.
I'm really glad you're thinking about taking full advantage of all the resort has to offer, including the pools. I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who shared that
both resort pools are currently open from 10 AM to 10 PM daily. Hours are subject to change, so it's best to confirm with the resort once you arrive. Hours should be posted at the entrance to the pools, and you can always inquire with a Cast Member as well.
While you're there, I hope you'll also have time to enjoy one or more of the wonderful restaurants at the Contemporary.
California Grill is one of my favorites, and the view for fireworks from there can't be beat.
Chef Mickey's is also a really fun restaurant with character dining for both breakfast and dinner. Both of these restaurants accept reservations, so if you're interested, try to secure your desired time as soon as you can.
During your stay, take some time to admire the gorgeous larger-than-life artwork in the lobby. It was created by the incomparable Mary Blair, who is also credited with designing the iconic artwork for the original "it's a small world" attraction. See if you can find the 5-legged goat in the mural.
