I’m looking to book the Key to the Kingdom and Savor the Savana tours. One person in my party uses a wheelchair. Just wanted to check if they will be able to join the tours. Is there anything I should do in advance (e.g. inform Disney about wheelchair)?

    Hi Elizabeth!

Welcome to planDisney! I’ve personally done both of those tours and absolutely loved them. You’ll have such a great time!

I’m happy to report that both the Keys to the Kingdom tour and the Savor the Savanna tour are currently wheelchair accessible. When you go to book the tours (pending availability), there will be a section to fill out titled Special Requests. You’ll want to make sure you click the box next to Wheelchair Accessible, so the Cast Members are aware of the Guest’s accessibility needs. This is also the area where you'll fill out any dietary restrictions and food allergies for your travel party.

You can find all of the accessibility information for each tour by visiting their webpage on Disney World’s website (I linked those above!) and clicking the button titled Show Safety, Accessibility, and Guest Policies. This button is usually listed right under the description and price of the tour.

It’s good to note that the Keys to the Kingdom tour often includes a couple of attractions that require the wheelchair user to be able to transfer from their wheelchair to the ride vehicle.

As you plan your vacation, here’s a great guide for Guests with mobility needs. It’s full of helpful information!

I hope that helps! Have the best time on those tours! If you have any other questions, feel free to come back and visit us.
