Hi! I’m hoping to bring a relative with me when I come “Home” to Walt Disney World! She uses a walking stick, are you allowed to take walking sticks on rides and attractions at Disney World??

    Hi Ash!!

I'm so excited to hear you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Mickey Mouse and his Pals are ready to welcome you HOME!

You'll be happy to know that Walt Disney World's official policy allows Guests to bring personal mobility devices, including walking aids and devices, into the theme parks. There are just a few considerations to keep in mind:

    • When your relative goes through the security checkpoint at the park entrance, the walking stick may be subject to inspection. This is standard procedure to ensure the safety of all Guests.
    • The walking stick should be of manageable size and style for use in the park's environment.
    • For certain rides and attractions, there may be specific guidelines regarding the use of walking aids. Your relative may be asked to store the walking stick in a designated area for the duration of the experience. For this reason, you might want to have them label it with their name and phone number.
Exploring Walt Disney World involves a significant amount of walking - there's so much to see and do! If mobility becomes a challenge, Guests have the option to rent a Wheelchair or ECV (Electric Conveyance Vehicle) at all four theme parks and Disney Springs

I hope this helps answer your question! Please come back and visit us here at planDisney if you have more questions before your visit.
    Have a magical day!
