Hello there Emma,
Welcome back to planDisney and thank you so much for your question! I'm thrilled to hear you'll be make a trek across the pond and over the states for a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth - it will be here in just a few short weeks!
The Daily Events Calendar on the Disneyland Resort website is my go-to hub for all the information about park hours, events and entertainment schedules, and even attractions planned to be down for refurbishment for my upcoming trips. This schedule is available about six weeks out from the current date, which means we can check on May 12th for your visit.
When I look on that page, I'm seeing that they are currently planning for
Paint the Night in Disneyland Park at 8:45 PM and 10:45 PM. I grew up loving the Electrical Light Parade and got to experience this newly reimagined parade with my family on a recent trip and love it. They did such a great job preserving what made the Electrical Light Parade so wonderful while also bringing in even more Disney magic to the experience.
I'm not seeing that there are fireworks planned for May 12th as of the time I'm answering your question. However, there are numerous projection display shows planned including
Wondrous Journeys (projections) on Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, U.S.A., the Rivers of America at 9:35 PM;
Tapestry of Happiness on "
it's a small world" at 10:00 PM, and 10:30 PM; and
Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at 8:45 PM, 9:30 PM, and 10:15 PM.
You'll be able to find all of this and more in the Disneyland Resort mobile app when you visit as well.
Thanks again for your question, Emma! I hope you enjoy your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
