My mom, 74, is going with my family on a trip to Disneyland. We want to watch fantasmic, parade, and fireworks; and I plan on purchasing packages to get reserved seating but most still require sitting on the ground which she is unable to do. What can I do?

A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Kelly. I'm so excited to hear that you'll be experiencing the magic of the Disneyland Resort with your mom and family. It won't be much longer until you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy. Let's talk about seating options for some of the nighttime spectaculars.

I'm happy to share that there are some great dining packages that offer reserved seating off the ground. First, let's dive into Mickey's imagination and talk about options for Fantasmic! You can book the Premium Dining Package at River Belle Terrace, where you'll enjoy a delicious meal and then the first showing of Fantasmic! right from your table. There is limited seating available, and this option is quite popular, so I recommend reserving your table as soon as reservations open 60 days in advance.

Things can get a little trickier when it comes to the Paint the Night Parade. Most of the experiences that offer reserved viewing areas for this parade have seating on the ground. If you book A Story of Celebration: 70th Anniversary Guided Tour at Disneyland Resort, the reserved viewing area is right across from the Disneyland Railroad station. While there aren't seats and it's not guaranteed, I have seen a couple of planters with benches in this area, and if you arrive early enough, you might be lucky to secure one of these spots to enjoy the parade.

For reserved seating for fireworks, you might consider making a reservation at the Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace Here you can enjoy a unique view of the fireworks from the comfort of your table on the terrace. Drinks and a meal are also provided for this experience and reservations (which can be made up to 60 days in advance) are required.

Finally, you may also think about renting an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) for your mom, either for the day or for your entire visit. There are designated areas for wheelchairs and ECVs for most of the nighttime spectaculars that are available on a first-come, first-served basis. I recommend chatting with a friendly Cast Member to find the location of these areas.

Kelly, I hope this is helpful as you're getting ready for your upcoming visit. If there's anything else that we can help with, please come back to visit us. Here's wishing you a magical time making core memories at the Happiest Place on Earth. Let the countdown to the magic begin!
