I'm discussing a Disney World trip with my sister. She would like to know if she can bring outside snacks to the parks for medical reasons?

Hiya, Megan! Welcome back to planDisney!

It sounds like you have a fun Walt Disney World trip in the works. How exciting! With four theme parks, two water parks, and tons of shopping and dining options, there’s so much to see and do throughout the entire year.  Whenever you decide to visit with your sister is sure to be a magical experience.

Your sister will be pleased to know that guests are allowed to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverages into the theme parks. There are a few rules, though. Food or beverages cannot be in glass containers (except in the case of baby food jars), and cannot require heating, reheating, processing, refrigeration, temperature control, or have pungent odors. It’s also recommended that you tell a Security Cast Member about any food items you have with you when you enter the parks.

You can find more information about the Walt Disney World property rules here. If you have questions about a specific type of food or beverage, I’d suggest calling the Non-Reservation Support line to talk with a helpful Cast Member. If your sister or anyone else in your party has special dietary needs, be sure to take a look at the Walt Disney World Special Diets and Dining Accommodations page ahead of your visit.

I hope this info helps with your vacation planning, Megan. Pop right back if you have any other questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
