Hello. I’m coming to Disneyland in March. Can I add a park hopper pass to one of my two days? I’d like to do this in advance. How would I go about this as I’ve already purchased my tickets.

Hello again, Barb, and welcome back to planDisney!

How exciting that your trip is getting closer and closer! Whenever I have a trip planned, I have a Disney countdown calendar on my desk which I tick down every day. It helps add to the anticipation, so I hope you're feeling the same way!

The Park Hopper option is an all or nothing addition to your ticket, Barb. It will be a flat fee charged per ticket whether you use it for one day or both days, so if you do add it to your ticket, it makes sense to take advantage of the option on both days.

In order to add the Park Hopping option after you've purchased tickets, please call a Cast Member at the Guest Information and Ticket sales phone line and they will be happy to help you. You may also visit the Main Entrance Ticket Booths at the Esplanade outside both Parks on the day of your visit to do this in person. However, if you upgrade your tickets in person, you will be subject to reservation availability because changing your ticket invalidates your prior reservation, so I would recommend calling ahead of time.

I hope you'll be packing your appetite, Barb, because you'll be visiting during the popular Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! I love purchasing a Sip and Savor Pass and exploring the various food kiosks to plan out my culinary adventure. To get a taste of what to expect, check out the Foodie Guide that was posted on the Disney Parks Blog.

Fun Fact: Speaking of yummy foods, did you know that Doritos were invented in Disneyland Park in the 1960s from bits of discarded tortillas that they didn't want to go to waste?

Barb, I hope you found this response helpful in your planning and I wish you the most magical trip to the Disneyland Resort! As always, please return again if you need anything else from us. We love being involved in your vacation planning. Until next time!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
