Hello there, Jacoby, and welcome to planDisney!
I'm sorry to hear that you were "unavoidably detained by pranky spirits" and had to reschedule your visit to the Disneyland Resort! I'm glad that you're able to find a time to go back, though. There's so much happening this year that I'm hoping you'll have plenty more to see when you make it there.
Park reservations are released on a rolling basis 180 days in advance for regular
Theme Park Tickets. If you purchased regular multi-day tickets, they must be used within a 14 day window, so I suspect that this might be limiting the reservations that are available to you. In order to remedy this, go ahead and cancel
all the reservations associated with that ticket first. When you go back and attempt to make new reservations, the entire calendar should now be open to you. Remember the 180 day rule for reservations, however. If you will be returning in mid September, your reservations won't be released until mid March.
Did you purchase a 1 Day Ticket or a Discount Ticket like the
Kids' Special Ticket Offer? The latter has an expiration date of March 10, 2024 and 1 Day Tickets are subject to the
tier system, so they will have very specific blockout dates. If this is not the case and you still aren't able to make reservations in September, you might want to check the expiration date of your tickets. If all else fails, I would recommend calling a Cast Member at the
Tickets phone line to get their help. I'm sure they'll be able to come to your rescue!
I hope you're ready for pumpkins and trick or treating because you're going to be visiting over the
Halloween Season! It's my favorite time of year to visit the Disneyland Resort.
Haunted Mansion Holiday is scheduled to return along with a brand new
Grounds Expansion. Personally, I can't wait to see what the Imagineers create.
Fun Fact: In the Haunted Mansion, everyone's favorite Hatbox Ghost opened with the attraction, only to disappear for decades until he returned just in time for the Mansion's 60th Anniversary! He was even
interviewed for the occasion.
Jacoby, I hope that this answer was helpful for you in rescheduling your visit. Please come by again if you have further planning questions because we'd love to continue being involved with your trip! You're always welcome at planDisney!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
