Im coming to Disney in a few days for RunDisney Springtime Surprise! I know Disney rules about bringing strollers inside rides and restaurants but what about the expo? Are strollers allowed inside or do I need to make a plan for how to carry him around?

On your mark, Lindsey! Your Walt Disney World Resort visit has the magical bonus of a runDisney event, so I'm cheering you on in advance! The runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend is the perfect way to celebrate the end of winter weather, so let's lace up our shoes and look at the details.

The runDisney Health & Fitness Expo at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is where you'll pick up your race bib before race day. A couple of years ago, I enjoyed browsing the booths and vendors, and I still use the microwaveable heating packs I bought there. There's also a virtual queue to check out runDisney merchandise, so I hope your credit card is warmed up and ready for action!

I chatted with a speedy Cast Member who said that strollers are not typically allowed inside the expo and merchandise areas. You can use your stroller in the parking lot and outdoor areas, but you'll leave it in designated stroller parking spots while you enter the buildings.

The Cast Member added that there may be more details in the digital package for this specific race weekend, which you should receive from runDisney via email soon. You can also submit specific questions via the Contact Us form on the website.

When I visited the expo, it was very busy with many guests and staff. I feel certain strollers are prohibited for safety reasons, so I'm hoping you can make alternative arrangements for your tiniest athlete. If your little one fits in a baby carrier or sling, that might be your best bet for getting around the event with ease. I also remember lots of outdoor space to stretch out and play, so maybe another guest with your group can be on baby duty while you get down to business!

Lindsey, I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney on your way to your runDisney event! Have a safe race, and here's to getting a personal best.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
