I'm a chronic pain patient wanting to know how hard it is to cancel and reschedule a theme park ticket if I need to space a day between my reservation... I would book for 2 days in a row but I decide I need a one day buffer

Hi Lisa! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

The Disneyland Resort is a welcoming and inclusive destination for all Guests, including those facing challenges such as yours. Please check out the Accessibility page for tools, tips, information about accommodations for Guests with disabilities, and more. These resources will help make your visit a smooth one. I also encourage you to stop by the Accessibility Services Kiosk located in the Esplanade between the parks. A friendly Cast Member will be happy to speak to you about your medical condition and how it might impact your day. They can recommend how best to access the park. Everyone's situation is unique!

Modifying an existing theme park reservation is easy, and I'm happy to walk you through it. However, please be aware that theme park reservation availability is not guaranteed. It is possible on popular days for the parks to fill up. So, while you can absolutely modify to another available day and park, you might also plan to pace yourself and take advantage of those resources Disneyland Resort provides to help mitigate the effects of a long park day.

To modify an existing reservation in the Disneyland mobile app, which is your handy tool while visiting the parks, tap the three-bar menu at the bottom of the screen. On the next page, tap "Park Reservations." Next, select "Make or Modify Theme Park Reservations." Locate your current reservation that you'd like to modify and tap "Modify Reservation." You'll be asked which members of your party to include in the changes. When you're finished selecting, tap "Continue." Lastly, pick your new day and park from the available selections, review, and confirm your selections. It's that easy!

When I'm visiting with pain, I make sure to plan plenty of breaks, including dining reservations, where I can sit, enjoy a meal, and recharge. There have also been visits where it was necessary to rent a wheelchair. Having a mobility device saved our vacation, and the rental process is incredibly convenient. We also make it a practice to spend less time waiting in traditional queues by purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

I hope you have a magical time!
