My husband is active duty and we have had our Disneyland Magic Key for 2 years now. If we were to get stationed somewhere where we could not use our Magic Key, can military orders help assist in cancelling Magic Key?

Welcome to planDisney, Lisa, and a huge thank you for your family's service. My husband spent some time in the military, so I know a little about the sacrifices and dedication it takes to serve. I love that Disneyland Resort has special offers for our military families, so let's talk about your Magic Keys.

It sounds like your Magic Key passes will be up for renewal soon, and you're debating renewing because your husband might be stationed elsewhere in the coming months. According to the Magic Key Terms & Conditions, passes are nontransferable and nonrefundable, so please keep that in mind when making your decision. I also suggest calling the Magic Key Membership Services line before you decide because they might be better able to advise you based on your specific situation.

My panelist pal Elizabeth has an excellent suggestion for military families visiting Disneyland Park. At sunset, you can head to Town Square in front of the Disneyland Railroad Main Street Station for the Flag Retreat Ceremony. Military members are honored at the day's end, and I think your family would enjoy this patriotic, symbolic tribute.

Lisa, thanks again for your husband's military service, and please stop by planDisney anytime. And if you decide not to renew your Magic Key, my best tip is to use your current pass as often as possible until it expires! Squeeze in every magical moment of pixie dust.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
