My husband is active duty military and also a magic key holder. For deployments where he is out of the country for 6 plus months, does Disney allow you to put your magic key on hold?

Hi Nicole! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

Thank you for your husband's service. I hope he's been enjoying his year of magic as a Magic Key holder. I am a Magic Key holder too, and I really appreciate the perks, discounts, and exclusives. My favorite source for information about Magic Key exclusives is the official Disneyland Magic Key blog. I picked up a magnet, which was an exclusive during the Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite in May after seeing a post about it. It was a fun complimentary extra!

A Magic Key can't be paused unfortunately and is non-refundable according to the Terms and Conditions. Whenever you have questions or concerns associated with your Magic Key, however, you have a dedicated Magic Key Holders phone line you can call. A helpful Cast Member can discuss your husband's deployment and Magic Key Terms and Conditions with you. They're always happy to assist in whatever way they can!

If your husband isn't already familiar with the Flag Retreat Ceremony at Disneyland Park, I wanted to be sure to mention it. Cast Members and Guests pause to honor the service of America's heroes daily during this ceremony, which takes place at the flag pole in front of Main Street, U.S.A. in the middle of Town Square. Your husband would be most welcome to participate.

    I hope this helps.
