I am hoping to plan a trip this January! Will there be discounted rates for Disney World hotels for U.S. Military Members in 2024? I am seeing many other 2024 discounts, but none for U.S. Military Members.

Hey there, Maria! Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you're here!

I'm so excited to hear that you're making plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort in January! I can't think of a better way to kick off the new year than a magical vacation with your favorite people. And as a military spouse, I'd like to truly thank you for your service. I know the dedication and commitment required of servicemembers and their families and I'm thrilled to know that you have quality time together in the making!

Maria, like you, I can't wait to hear about Special Offers for U.S. military members for 2024! At the time of this writing, offers for Disney Military Salute Tickets and select Disney Resorts Collection hotels are offered through 2023. In years past, offers for U.S. military members for the following year typically have been released in mid-to-late fall. I'd recommend keeping an eye on the Special Offers page in the next few months and taking advantage of any offers as soon as you're able!

That doesn't mean that you have to wait to make your magical plans, though! My best tip would be to get an idea of which Disney Resorts Collection hotel you'd like to stay at, as well as your desired dates. If an offer is released for 2024, you'll want to call a Cast Member to reserve your resort. When possible, try to be flexible with your dates! From my experience, just shifting my dates by a day or two can open a whole new world of possibilities. When it comes to your Disney Military Salute Tickets, you can purchase these either through your local base at Military, Welfare, and Recreation or order them through Shades of Green. Personally, I like to order our tickets through Shades of Green because they arrive activated and ready to be used!

Please know that if you decide to purchase Disney Military Salute Tickets, you'll want to make that purchase as soon as you're able. In my experience, these tickets take several weeks to arrive (no matter if I order through our base or through Shades of Green) and you'll want to make sure they arrive in plenty of time before your trip! Once they do arrive, be sure that they're linked to your My Disney Experience account and that you make your theme park reservations. Theme park reservations are required until January 9, 2024, for date-based tickets. Since Disney Military Salute Tickets aren't date-based, my best assumption is that they will still require theme park reservations. I'm sure we'll get more information once the date gets closer!
