    My husband is a member of the DOD. We are planning on visiting during my daughter's birthday at the end of January. Will we be able to use the military salute discount for rooms/tickets?

    I can't think of a better way to celebrate a magical birthday than with a visit to Walt Disney World Resort! There's nothing quite like setting your gaze on Cinderella Castle and making magical moments that'll last a lifetime. My husband and I have celebrated some of our milestone birthdays at The Most Magical Place on Earth and they've become some of our most cherished memories! 

    Sarah, I completely understand your question about Disney Military Salute Tickets. However, these tickets are reserved for Eligible Service Members, who are active and retired members of the military. Unfortunately, I don't believe your husband would be eligible for these tickets. If you have more questions about his eligibility, I'd suggest taking a look at the Frequently Asked Questions page for Disney Military Salute Tickets or reaching out to Shades of Green for more information!

    I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but I have some good news for you – have you checked out the Special Offers page? This is a great resource to see if there are any promotional rates that may apply to you! This page is updated regularly so I would continue to check back as it gets closer to the dates of your trip. The good news is that you can book your vacation package now (which I would recommend!) and then modify your reservation to include any promotions that may come out in the future. My best tip would be to apply any special offers quickly, as they often have limited availability. 

    I have one more tip for your daughter's birthday! Be sure to ask for a complimentary birthday button from the front desk of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel for your daughter to wear. There's nothing like receiving well-wishes from Guests and Cast Members during your magical vacation!
