Hi Lizbeth,
We are thrilled to welcome you to planDisney! Congratulations on your good news! There is nothing quite as magical as introducing your little one to the magic of
Walt Disney World Resort, so let’s see how we can create this special moment for your family. It will take a little creativity and planning on your part, but here are some ideas to get you started.
One piece of advice, if the gender of your baby is a secret even to you and you need to enlist the help of Cast Members, be sure to allow plenty of time for them to assist you.
For a classic gender reveal, I suggest that you stop by
Curtain Call Collectibles in
Magic Kingdom park and have some Mickey Ears embroidered (for a small fee) for your little Mouseketeer. You can have the ears personalized with the name if you have one already picked out, or simply with “It’s a boy/girl!” The great thing about this option is that you can give the Cast Member your secret (in an envelope, for instance) and then leave the ears for pick up later. When you pick them up, make sure the Cast Member knows that it is a secret so they don’t show you the ears before packaging them up for you.
Then, find a
Disney PhotoPass photographer in front of your favorite attraction or Cinderella Castle as you unveil your surprise. Another idea is to book a
Capture Your Moment photo session with a Disney PhotoPass photographer for an even more special reveal. You will find other merchandise shops offering personalization around the resort and you can book the Capture Your Moment photo session in all four theme parks if you were hoping to celebrate in another Disney park.
Lizbeth, if you were hoping to celebrate your big reveal in other ways, please
write back to me with your ideas and I’ll see what else I can help you dream up!
