Hi Marissa,
Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question! We are so happy to help!
Don't forget your bathing suit because the heated swimming pools at
Disney's Pop Century Resort are waiting for you! Yes, the Hippie Dippie Pool, the 1950s Bowling Pool, and the 1990s Computer Pool at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel should be open and ready for brave Guests to take the January plunge.
I want to warn you, Marissa: it can actually feel
southern cold down here at the end of January. That might not impact a gal from Pennsylvania, but there are certainly days when a Floridian wouldn't "Hippie Hippie" more than a single solitary toe in the water. Just be sure to pack something soft, warm, and snuggly to change into after your afternoon dip, just in case.
If you find yourself searching for a slightly warmer activity at Disney's Pop Century Resort, check out the nightly
campfire from 6 -7 PM EST each night! You can find it near Surfer Goofy.
Just in case you still need a boost of heat after your polar plunge (ok! I was raised in Florida. I'm a total softy when the mercury drops below 60!) consider adding a Resort Refillable Mug to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Fill up with toasty beverages like tea, coffee, and hot chocolate to your heart's content. Sodas are also available, but won't keep you warm!
I hope that helps, Marissa!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Sally
