We are booking a Disney vacation and looking for advice on hotels. Two parks - Magic Kingdom and Epcot or Animal Kingdom. Any recommendations?

    Hi, Jamie! Welcome to planDisney!

You must be thrilled about your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! Each Walt Disney World Resort Hotel boasts amazing amenities, unique complimentary transportation for guests, early access to theme parks, and incredible Disney theming. Depending on your location, budget, and theme preferences, there is surely a perfect hotel option for you at Walt Disney World Resort.

Proximity to a theme park is always part of my hotel decision. Jamie, it sounds like you're visiting Magic Kingdom Park, which is awesome! Since you're undecided between EPCOT and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, I have to say it would be worth considering a visit to both! Your visit falls during the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which boasts fresh fun for everyone with stunning floral displays and delicious treats from outdoor kitchens. There's nothing like the fresh springtime air at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, where the animals are the stars of the show (sometimes I think they know it, too)!

Another consideration is your budget. Walt Disney World Resort Hotels fall into four categories: Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and Deluxe Villas. I'll highlight some of my favorites!

    Value:

Disney's Art of Animation Resort immerses you in the magic of your favorite animated movies, like Cars and The Little Mermaid. Take a dip in the Big Blue Pool to cool off, or hop onto the Disney Skyliner for a quick ride to EPCOT!

    Moderate:

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is a beautiful resort that makes you feel like you're strolling through New Orleans, just like Princess Tiana!

    Deluxe:

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the incredible Disney's Contemporary Resort - the brief walk to Magic Kingdom Park was a delight!

    Deluxe Villas:

My family's favorite place to stay is Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village, where giraffes and zebras are right outside your balcony, the African and Indian flavors abound at Sanaa (definitely try the Bread Service), the Samawati Springs pool offers a relaxing retreat, and the bus ride to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is a breeze! Not only are the Villas in this resort handsomely-appointed, they're equipped with full kitchens and in-room washer and dryer, so you can truly feel at home from the moment you're greeted with, "Jambo!"

Jamie, I just know you'll find the perfect hotel for your stay, and you'll truly enjoy all of the benefits of being a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guest from the second you arrive.

    Bon voyage!
