I heard they changed out the picnic tables at fort wilderness cabins. What size tablecloth should I get?

Howdy, Melissa, and welcome back to planDisney! My family loves staying at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort because it's a woodsy home away from home. We always plan at least one resort day here because the cabins are a destination on their own. Let's look at how you can maximize outdoor living during your stay.

You might have heard that the cabins are being replaced in the coming months with new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) cabins. Since the new DVC cabins won't be available until later in the summer, I assume you'll stay in the current version.

I chatted with a yee-haw Cast Member who said he was unaware of any changes to the picnic table size, so it sounds like you'll have a traditional outdoor seating area for up to six people. I recommend a tablecloth for a 6' table; a chipmunk design would be ideal!

The cast member said the outdoor area at the new DVC cabins will probably have updated versions of the current tables. The outdoor dining area will still seat up to six guests, so you can possibly reuse your tablecloth for future stays, too!

Walt Disney said that progress is impossible without change. But just between us, I'll miss the old cabins. Maybe I'll buy one for myself! It would be a dream come true to be transported to the Disney magic anytime I walk through the rustic front door.

Melissa, I hope you enjoy your time "roughing it" at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Please stop by planDisney anytime. I'll have the s'mores waiting!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
