Hi there, Guadalupe!
A big, warm welcome to planDisney! I’m so excited to help you plan your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, and I love that you’re thinking ahead about
accessibility; because every Guest deserves a smooth and pixie-dusted experience!
You’ll be happy to know that all four Walt Disney World theme parks offer designated disability
parking areas for Guests with a valid state-issued disability parking permit. The best part? There is no additional cost beyond standard parking fees. And if you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you’ll receive complimentary standard theme park parking!
My dad has a disability parking permit, and whenever he visits Walt Disney World with me, we use these lots without any issues. The Cast Members are always super helpful, guiding us to the designated spaces closest to the park entrances. It makes getting in and out so much easier, and we can focus on the magic instead of the logistics!
If you’re planning to drive, I recommend arriving early, as disability parking spaces are first-come, first-served. The earlier you get there, the better chance you’ll have of grabbing a spot closest to the entrance. If you ever need extra guidance, the friendly Cast Members at the parking entrance are always happy to assist and will make sure you’re directed to the right place.
For an even more convenient way to get around, the adorable
Minnie Vans, powered by Lyft, offer wheelchair-accessible vehicles that can pick you up right from your Disney Resort hotel or a designated park location. It’s a great option if you’re looking for door-to-door service with that extra touch of Disney magic!
And if you haven’t already, be sure to download the
My Disney Experience app before your trip. It’s an incredible tool for navigating the parks, checking wait times, finding accessible dining locations, and even getting real-time directions to attractions and services. It’s like having your own personal Fairy Godmother guiding you through your magical vacation!
I hope this helps you feel prepared and excited about your trip! If you have any other questions,
I’m always happy to help. Wishing you a great, big, beautiful tomorrow! ~Emille
