    My grandparents live in San Diego and gifted me and my partner tickets for Disney for 3 days-will we be bared from entering since the tickets say socal and our IDs say otherwise?

    We are happy to have you here at planDisney! I hope we can provide some helpful advice and that you will be able to find your way to the Happiest Place on Earth during your visit. 

    We have been getting a lot of questions around the SoCal Resident Tickets, especially when it comes to the rules and eligibility. These are special tickets offered just to locals who live within ZIP codes 90000 - 93599. Unfortunately, Guests using these tickets are asked to provide a valid, government-issued photo ID reflecting proof of residency within these ZIP codes when scanning into the parks. We have confirmed with Cast Members that this is the case, and I'm sorry to be the one to share this news! 

    I'm hopeful that with enough advanced planning, you may be able to pivot your plans and find your way to the magic next week. You may want to share with your grandparents that the SoCal Resident Tickets are good through May 15, 2025, in case they'd like to enjoy the magic as well before they expire. There are some special, limited-time offerings in both parks, including Season of the Force at Disneyland for any Star Wars fans through May 11th and the Food & Wine Festival at California Adventure through April 21!
