Cheers, Alison! Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney.
Adventure is out there, and I love how you’re prepared for anything! You’ll want to pack any essential items in your carry-on luggage, like your travel documents and necessary medication. Staterooms are typically ready by 1:30 p.m., but your luggage may take a few more hours to arrive. I think a first aid kit is a great idea! One year, I forgot antacid for my husband, and it made for an uncomfortable night of tummy troubles. They have a small selection of over-the-counter medication in the gift shop, but I had to wait until the morning to get it.
My family also likes to pack our swimsuits in our carry-on bag. After lunch is a great time to take a spin on the
AquaDuck – Disney’s 'water coaster' at sea. There is SO MUCH fun to be had on board the Disney Dream! A great way to explore the ship is to participate in the
Midship Detective Agency located on Deck 5, midship. Your crew will travel all over the ship, interacting with artwork while trying to help Mickey solve a mystery. It’s self-paced, so don’t worry; you can still enjoy an ice cream, take a picture with Captain Minnie, and pick up right where you left off!
Alison, I have one more suggestion. You might want to review
Disney’s packing list and the list of
prohibited items before you zip up your suitcase. There’s no need to bring shampoo, conditioner, or body wash – you’ll find plenty in your stateroom. There’s even a hair dryer in the desk drawer. Just a heads-up: you’ll want to leave irons, steamers, and power strips at home. You don’t want to pack anything that could delay your embarkation. I hope this helps. Have a wonderful holiday!
SEAS the adventure!
