How many bags are we allowed to bring onto a cruise? Me and my wife will have 3 suitcases, 2 carry ons and a back pack. Is this allowed?

    Hello Karl,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for bringing your question to us; we are always happy to assist other Guests with their planning questions.

It sounds like you have already checked off your packing list and are ready to set sail. Each Guest is allowed two checked suitcases, one carry-on day bag and a personal item.  Since your carry-on bag must fit through the security screener at the port, it should not exceed 22 inches high, 14 inches wide and 9 inches deep in dimension. You will want to pack any valuables, medications, and boarding documents in your day bag. Remember, you will keep all of your carry-on baggage with you until your stateroom is available, which could be several hours after you board.

You should receive Disney Cruise Line luggage tags to place on your checked baggage before you arrive at the port terminal. If you misplace the tags, no worries! You can receive new tags at the port terminal. Your luggage will be delivered to your stateroom when your room is ready.

One of the wonderful things about a Disney Cruise Line stateroom is that there is quite a bit of storage space in closets, shelving and dresser drawers. You can also slide your suitcases under the bed leaving plenty of room to move about.

I know you will enjoy your adventure aboard Disney Dream, Karl! Thanks for stopping by and we hope to SEA you soon!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
