Good evening, I am treating my friend (she is 77 yo, her 1st time to Disneyland) Oct.14-15, 2026. It has been a long time for myself (22yrs last visit). She uses a wheelchair. Are there any special accommodations for her at DP.

Hi Renee! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

What a fantastic gift! You are going to have the best time, especially during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. Seasonal decor, special entertainment, and themed treats make for a really fun time. It's the perfect time to visit! My favorite Disneyland Resort tradition during the season is the seasonal overlays to select Attractions, including the iconic Haunted Mansion Holiday in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park. This transformational overlay is hosted by our skeleton friend, Jack. It's a must-do for me. Look for more details about experiencing the Halloween season as it approaches on the official news source for the parks, the Disney Parks Blog.

Disneyland Resort is dedicated to making the parks accessible to all Guests, which includes Guests with mobility issues. I've visited the parks and needed to rent a wheelchair, and I can assure you that it didn't inhibit my enjoyment of the parks. There's a great page dedicated to Guests with mobility challenges. It has useful information about accessing queues, parking, restroom use, and more. I suggest reading through the information available. You might also make your friend aware of the information if the trip isn't a surprise. The good news is that there are only a few experiences that require Guests to be fully ambulatory. Otherwise, Guests can experience Attractions from their wheelchairs or transfer to the ride vehicle, depending on the Attraction.

Once you arrive, you can also speak with a friendly Cast Member at the Accessibility Services Kiosk in the Esplanade between the parks. They have advice about accessing the parks with your group's needs in mind. Cast Members are always happy to help!

    Have a spooky good time!
