Ahoy Ashley, and welcome to planDisney! Disney Cruise Line is good for any age! We are taking my mom on her first Disney cruise this year, and I assured her that it can be as active (or not) as she wants to be.
The
Disney Wish boasts some great interactive activities and fun entertainment. Once you download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to use while onboard, you will have access to all the daily activities. There are a variety of trivia activities to participate in or watch. If your family is as competitive as some of my planDisney pals, brush up on that Disney knowledge! There is also bingo, arts and crafts, and other game shows.
One of my favorite lounges in the entire fleet of Disney Cruise Line ships is
The Bayou. A mimosa and beignets under the magnolias is a great way to start the day in my opinion. Adult-only experiences such as
beverage tastings and brunch at
Palo Steakhouse are also winners in my book. If you want some time to enjoy the sea all around you, take a stroll on Deck 13 to the adult-only
Cove Café for specialty coffee and beverages at an additional cost.
I'm glad you asked about the Rainforest Room! Located inside the
Senses Spa & Salon, this quiet space has sauna rooms, heated stone loungers, and much more for a relaxing experience while looking out at sea. The pass for the Rainforest Room is for the length of your itinerary, and I highly suggest making reservations in advance once your booking window opens. If that is not possible, you can check availability at Senses Spa & Salon once onboard.
Ashley, I hope you and your family have a magical vacation onboard the Disney Wish. If you have any other questions, sail back to planDisney, and I will be here to help. In the words of Mama Odie, "This gon' be good!"
Adventure is out there!
