On a recent Fantasy cruise, a discount was offered on spa treatments booked on port days. Will this also be offered on the Wish in November? Also... are there any meet & greet activities planned for solo travelers age 50+?

    Ahoy Nancy,

Thanks for sailing back to planDisney with another question. I'm happy to help!

My family sailed on Disney Wish in April and we had a similar plan in mind while the ship was docked in Nassau, Bahamas. My husband and I booked a couples massage at Senses Spa and thoroughly enjoyed our laid-back morning and relaxing treatments in place of a Port Adventure that day. We didn't receive a discount on our services because it was a port day, but we were happy with the overall experience. We slept well that night with our tired muscles soothed and the ship gently rocking us to sleep along the waves.

I reached out to a Disney Cruise Line Crew Member who shared that they weren't aware of any discounted port day spa offers but advised that you visit Senses Spa on embarkation day to inquire about any specials throughout your sailing. You'll find this located on Deck 5 Forward. You may also want to inquire about passes to the indoor Rainforest room or the beautiful outdoor spa lounge area. We didn't get a chance to experience these spaces in April, but I definitely hope to enjoy them on a future sailing.

Since activities vary by sailing and are always subject to change you'll want to review the daily itinerary in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you've boarded. We find this to be an invaluable tool during our sailings, especially since we can "heart" our favorite items and receive a reminder before they begin. You'll find a full array of activities offered from trivia to bingo and everything in between. I've seen 1820 Society activities listed for cruisers aged 18-20 and have heard about a singles/solo lunch on past cruises but unfortunately, I don't recall whether they were scheduled on our most recent sailing.

I've also joined social media groups for some of our past sailings and connected with other guests about activities leading up to our particular cruise. These groups are not affiliated with Disney Cruise Line but I liked being able to chat with fellow cruisers during the planning process.

I hope this was helpful Nancy. If we can answer any additional questions please float right on back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
