Welcome back to planDisney, Kylee!
Thank you for taking the time to send another question to us. Nothing makes us happier than helping fellow Guests plan a memorable Walt Disney World Resort adventure!
Since you plan to visit next August, I am happy to share that you are not required to make a
Theme Park Reservation. Beginning January 9, 2024, Guests will no longer have to make theme park reservations for date-based tickets. That is why you are unable to make reservations. To enter the theme parks during your Disney vacation, you will only need valid admission for your visit dates.
You can
access the magic and enter the theme parks in different ways. You can use a MagicBand,
MagicBand+, physical tickets, and
Disney MagicMobile service. You can purchase a MagicBand or a MagicBand+ at
shopDisney.com or several merchandise locations at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can make your purchase at special prices ahead of your visit. You are also welcome to stop by the Front Desk at your Disney Resort hotel and request a Key to the World card. Other Guests can retrieve physical cards at the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs or ticket windows located at the entrance of all theme parks. You are also welcome to use Disney MagicMobile service to create a pass via the My Disney Experience app and link it to your digital wallet to enter the parks using your mobile device.
I hope this information is helpful, Kylee. Come back to visit us if you have additional questions, and have a pixie-dusted visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
