George from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I am a full-time Florida resident. I have relatives who are not Florida residents who want to visit in Orlando. What is the best option for me/them to purchase tickets? Thanks.

Hey there, George! Welcome back to planDisney from a fellow Floridian! I love that Mickey Mouse is my neighbor, don't you? I also enjoy taking friends and family to Walt Disney World Resort when they visit, so let's look at ways to share the magic.

You have some options if you'd like to use your resident status to take advantage of Special Offers. For example, you can book a Disney Resort hotel stay for you and your guests using any available resident discounts. The easiest way to check is to call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line for help. The more flexible you can be with your dates and desired resorts, the better your odds of securing a resident discount for your group.

My husband and I are proud Disney Pixie Dust Annual Passholders. This exclusive pass for Florida residents grants us access to the magic all year round and allows us to purchase most Special Event Tickets at a discount for our guests. We can also buy water park tickets at a discount for others and apply our discount for our party at many dining locations. If you're a frequent visitor to the theme parks, becoming a passholder could be a great option. I'd be thrilled to welcome you to the passholder family!

As for purchasing discounted theme park tickets, remember that guests over 18 must show proof of Florida residency to activate their admission, while those under 18 do not. You can confirm residency online during checkout or at Guest Relations at any theme park entrance.

How generous you are to spread some pixie dust to your family! I hope you make many magical memories on your next visit. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
