I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney! A Walt Disney World vacation with the grandkids sounds like such a fun way to spend time together. Some of my favorite Disney memories are the ones shared with family, and I’m sure you’re going to have plenty of smiles, laughs, and special moments to look back on long after your vacation is over.
Living in Florida comes with some great Walt Disney World benefits, including access to special
Florida Resident ticket offers. There is one important detail to keep in mind when planning for your grandchildren, however. Florida Resident tickets are only available for use by Guests who meet the Florida residency requirements. This means that if your grandchildren live outside of Florida, they would not be eligible to use the Florida Resident tickets, even though you are a Florida Resident.
I know that may not have been the answer you were hoping for. If you’re looking for ways to save, you could consider purchasing your grandchildren standard
theme park tickets without the Park Hopper option. This would give them admission to one theme park for each day of their ticket while keeping the cost a little lower.
Walt Disney World also regularly offers
Special Offers that can provide additional savings. Based on the dates you’re currently planning to visit, I don’t see an offer that applies to that particular time period right now. I’d recommend checking back, though, as new offers can be released and existing promotions may change.
