Aloha, Mary! Welcome to planDisney!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a tropical paradise steeped in the magic of Disney! Since opening in 1971 as one of Walt Disney World’s original resorts, it has been a favorite escape for Guests seeking lush landscapes and South Pacific vibes. Now, with the recent debut of the 10-story
Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows in December 2024, there’s even more to love! The Island Tower has a modern take on Polynesian design, including light earth tones. As a Disney Vacation Club Member, I can’t wait to experience this new addition with my own family!
Conveniently, the
floor plans for all accommodations at the Island Tower are available on the Disney Vacation Club website. You’ll also find a virtual walk-through of the Deluxe Studio to help you picture your stay. Here’s a quick overview of the room types:
• Duo Studio: Perfect for two Guests, this cozy option features a Murphy bed that folds into the wall, a small kitchenette, and a private patio or balcony. It’s designed to maximize space while maintaining comfort and style.
• Deluxe Studio: Ideal for families or groups of up to four, this room offers a queen bed and a queen pull-down bed, along with a more spacious kitchenette that includes a dishwasher. The layout is similar to the Duo Studio but provides extra room to relax. Both room types include a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a single sink.
The Island Tower also brings new dining experiences to the Polynesian Resort! The
Wailulu Bar & Grill is the main restaurant, offering indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor booths are particularly inviting, as they back up to an infinity-style water feature. And I’ve heard rave reviews about their smash burger—it’s already on my must-try list!
I hope this helps you plan your visit, Mary! Should you have any other questions before your tropical getaway, feel free to stop by planDisney again. Until then, I wish you a magical adventure filled with island breezes and Disney hospitality!
Mahalo,
Eean
