Hi Sarah,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by with your question—let’s get it all sorted out!
As a fellow
Passholder, I know how exciting it is to plan a magical day at the parks while enjoying all the great perks, like discounts and complimentary standard theme park parking. You’re absolutely right that even as a Passholder, you’ll still need a theme park reservation to enter your first park of the day.
Now, about the
Lightning Lane Multi-Pass: It’s such a fantastic tool for saving time and skipping those standby lines! I love how it lets you pre-select attractions in advance of your vacation. But here’s the key detail: If you change your park reservation (for example, from
Disney’s Hollywood Studios to
EPCOT), your pre-selected Lightning Lane attractions for Hollywood Studios will be automatically canceled.
If you’re considering changing parks, I recommend doing so before purchasing or making selections for your Lightning Lane Multi-Pass to avoid losing any reservations. However, the great news about the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass is that it has built-in park hopper ability! Once you’ve redeemed the first attraction in your plans, you can book attractions at a different park without having to physically be there. This adds so much flexibility to your day.
You can also cancel or modify your Lightning Lane selections directly in the
My Disney Experience app. If plans change or you spot a better time for an attraction, it’s super easy to make updates.
To make the most of your day, I recommend prioritizing the earliest possible Lightning Lane times for your first park so you can enjoy those attractions before hopping. Then, as you use your selections, you can continue booking new attractions one at a time in the same park or another, subject to availability.
I hope this clears things up and helps you plan a smooth and magical visit! If you have any other questions, feel free to swing by again. Wishing you a pixie-dusted day—and as always, thank you for being part of the Passholder family!
See ya real soon,
Eean
