Wingapo (welcome), Tom!
Disney's Old Key West Resort has a special place in my heart, because it's the Disney Resorts Collection hotel I stayed at with my family on my very first Walt Disney World Resort vacation when I was a child. I remember walking into the lobby and being mesmerized by the level of theming and detail. That feeling still washes over me each time I step into a Disney Resort hotel, so I am beyond excited for you to experience this for yourself in a matter of hours!
When you arrive at your home away from home, ask one of the friendly Cast Members where
Bell Services is located. While they no longer deliver your luggage to the airport for you, you are more than welcome to store your luggage there on the day you check out while you are enjoying the parks one last time. The Bell Service team members will hand you a ticket with your luggage information. Keep this handy for when you return to pick up your bags. I know that’s not exactly what you were hoping for, but it’s still a wonderful service you can take advantage of.
Be sure to keep an eye out for a board in the lobby that lists all of the
recreational activities available to you during the week you’re there. Yes, the theme parks are so much fun, but a relaxing day spent poolside at your resort is just as great. Another great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the parks is
Disney Springs. You can be there in a real jiffy from Disney’s Old Key West Resort, thanks to the on-site
water taxi.
I hope this information proves useful, Tom. If you think of anything else we can help you with, please stop by planDisney again. Have a magical trip!
