About Me

Howdy! I’m Alyssa, a born-and-raised Texan and school librarian who’s usually sipping on a glass of sweet tea or using the word “y’all.” I can honestly say I’ve been a Disney fan my whole life. Some of my earliest memories from my childhood are centered around Disney, like the time my mom threw me an “under the sea” Little Mermaid birthday party or family movie nights spent watching Classics like "The Sword in the Stone."  My parents saved up for years to take us on our first vacation to Walt Disney World Resort when I was 10 years old, and I’ve loved it ever since. My passion for Walt Disney World extends into every area of my life from the clothes I wear to my phone’s ringtones and the decor in my house. There’s nowhere I’d rather be than “home,” so I’m perpetually planning our next trip. In my free time, you can find me snuggled up with a good book, re-watching my favorite movies or making memories with my husband, two precious nieces and family.

About My Family

Years ago, I did as dreamers do and made a wish that I would find my very own Prince Charming one day. I am happy to say my wish came true when I married my fellow Disney-obsessed best friend, my husband. Over the years, our travels to our home away from home have truly brought us closer together as a couple. For us, Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect place to commemorate life's biggest and smallest moments and every moment in between. You can often find us laughing our way through “The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness” or dancing together on Sunset Boulevard. While it’s just the two of us, we have vacationed with my family on several multigenerational trips at Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate some momentous occasions, such as my sister’s proposal in Tinker Bell’s Nook and my nieces’ birthdays. Walt Disney World allows us to enjoy uninterrupted, joy-filled time together, and that’s quite a gift. There’s no place I’d rather be than traipsing around the theme parks, laughing endlessly with the people I love most in the world!

About My Disney Experience

While I only visited Walt Disney World twice growing up, it captured my heart and imagination from the very start. I still remember the immense wonder I felt when I gazed upon Cinderella Castle for the first time, the excitement I felt watching SpectroMagic parade down Main Street, U.S.A., the deep appreciation I held for EPCOT, being overcome with emotion when Tinker Bell flew across the sky ... I knew then that I wanted Walt Disney World Resort to be a permanent fixture in my life and can happily say that dream is now a reality. I still experience the same sense of wonder, awe, excitement and emotion on my trips home today that I did as a child. The nostalgia is real, and so is the magic! I love getting to experience the theme parks with my family as an adult. While so much has changed, some traditions remain, like ending our vacation with one last ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, but the beauty of Walt Disney World Resort is there’s always something new to look forward to. Some of my family’s most cherished memories were made on our trips together, and I simply cannot imagine my world without my happy place!
