Welcome to planDisney, Patricia! It sounds like you are gearing up for a fun year of making memories with your grandchildren at the
Walt Disney World Resort by purchasing them Annual Passes. Lucky them!
You will be happy to know, and a Cast Member confirmed, that the Disney Ticket Center located at
Disney Springs (found in the Town Center in between
Blaze Pizza and
D-Luxe Burger) will be able to assist with purchasing Annual passes for you, your husband, and grandchildren. If you are a Florida resident and want to buy an annual pass specifically for Florida residents, you must provide proof of residency. The most common proof of residency would be a valid Florida driver’s license with a Florida address, but if you just moved and don’t yet have one, Hakuna Matata,
here are some other examples. Suppose you have a Florida driver’s license (with a Florida address), Florida state-issued ID, or Florida-based military ID. In that case, you can purchase your pass online and verify your residency at checkout, bypassing the need to go to Guest Services! How convenient!
Patricia, I also verified with the Cast Member that while you can purchase the annual passes on behalf of your husband and grandchildren, if you end up purchasing annual passes intended for Florida residents, anyone over the age of 18 would need to provide proof of residence when activating their pass at the
Guest Relations window located at the entrance to each theme park, or at Disney Springs.
As you may or may not know, Florida residents can purchase
various types of Annual passes: Disney Pixie Dust Pass, Disney Pirate Pass, and Disney Sorcerer Pass. Each pass has different use restrictions, so I suggest reading more about the differences before you head to Disney Springs. It is also important to note that the number of passes is limited and may become unavailable at any time, so always have a plan B!
No matter which annual pass you choose, there are still plenty of benefits to becoming a Passholder! From complimentary standard theme park parking to discounts on entertainment and experiences, plenty of perks make becoming a Passholder worthwhile. I am thinking of becoming a Disney Incredi-Pass Passholder soon, considering all of the visits I have planned this upcoming year, and I am very excited about it!
Here's to wishing you and your grandchildren a year full of magical memories!
