Hello, Tina! Welcome to planDisney! Visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort in September sounds amazing! Combining nice weather, smaller crowds, and the
2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival make for a fantastic vacation.
Walt Disney once said, “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.” While this was said at a time when only Disneyland Resort existed, his statement still rings true to this day and includes all of the Disney parks and
Disney Resorts Collection hotels.
As a frequent visitor myself, I can say that I have seen my fair share of construction around the resort, both at my hotel and in the parks. From my experience, I have never felt that the construction has had a negative impact on my stay, as Disney works hard to ensure that Guests are notified, kept up to date, and informed on how it will impact their visit.
If you are staying in one of the amazing Disney hotels, I would periodically check the resort's website to see if an orange alert is present under the resort's landing page photo. If refurbishments are taking place, the website will have all the details you need about what is getting a little extra Pixie Dust.
Similarly, you can visit the
Attractions and Entertainment page and search by theme park or by categories such as Thrill Rides, Shows & Fireworks, and Character Experiences to see if anything is temporarily closed for refurbishment.
I hope this answers your question, Tina, but more importantly, I hope you have a fantastic visit to Walt Disney World. Regardless of what is being worked on during your stay, I can assure you that it is Disney’s way of improving the parks and hotels for Guests like you and me and that you will still be able to enjoy all the magic you were expecting!
Best of luck!
Brent
