Hi Sarah! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
Little feet certainly can get tired over the course of an exciting park day, and heading back to your hotel for a nap or a refreshing swim might not be in the plans. I recommend bringing a stroller from home that meets the current
Park Rules for entry or
renting one once you arrive in the Esplanade. Long after my boys retired their strollers outside of the parks, we'd pack our umbrella stroller for our trips to the Disneyland Resort. With a stroller, they can rest their feet or eyes, and you're not carrying them around as soon as they're tired!
Being located close to the park or at a location that offers free transportation is a fantastic idea. While the ART shuttle service has been discontinued, there are still
Good Neighbor Hotels that offer free transportation to the parks. In fact, when you're searching for the perfect place for your family to stay, you can select
"Free Transportation" as an Amenity in the dropdown menu. Another good way to limit steps is to select "Across the Street" from the Distance dropdown menu. We've stayed at a location across the street and found it to be convenient and tidy. Play around with your preferences and search for availability for your group size and preferred dates.
You might also consider one of the
Disneyland Resort Hotels, which offer unbeatable access to the parks, delicious dining choices, and magical theming your little one is bound to enjoy. Our favorite is the iconic Disneyland Hotel, which has retro cool styling, quick access to the Disneyland Monorail, and Dole Whip by the pool.
You can't go wrong with whichever you choose: a Good Neighbor Hotel property or one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels. I hope you find the right fit for your needs!
Have a magical day.
Elizabeth
