Hi Mary, and thanks for visiting us at planDisney. I love using my
MagicBand to enter the theme parks, scan into
Lightning Lane entrances, open my hotel room door, and link
PhotoPass pictures… all from my wrist! It’s super convenient, and all of the different designs are really fun. So let’s chat about the MagicBand that you’re looking for!
I haven’t seen a Dumbo MagicBand at Disney World recently, but the selection is always changing, so you never know what designs you’ll find. There are MagicBands for sale at all four theme parks and at the Disney resort hotel gift shops, but some of the largest selections I’ve seen have been at
Disney's Pin Traders at Disney Springs and the
Emporium at Magic Kingdom. Availability can vary between locations, so you may need to do a bit of hunting to find all of your options!
If you don’t buy a MagicBand right away, you can also set up
Disney MagicMobile Service on your phone. This gives you most MagicBand features through your mobile wallet and is a nice alternative to use while you look for your Dumbo MagicBand.
I love that MagicBands sprinkle a bit of extra pixie dust on your Disney World visit, from buzzing when you get close to the
Disney Fab 50 Character statues to lighting up during the nighttime spectaculars. There’s also a fun game that my family likes to play,
Batuu Bounty Hunters, which lets you look for bounties in
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with your MagicBand and the
Play Disney Parks app.
Sometimes I’ll stick a MagicBand charger in my park bag so I can give my band a little boost during lunch. With all of the games and other interactive features, this helps the battery make it from rope drop to the nighttime spectaculars.
I’m wishing on a star that you find your Dumbo MagicBand this weekend! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
