Hi Gina!
Welcome to planDisney! Resort hopping is one of my favorite things to do at
Disney World around the holidays. I love exploring each resort to see its unique decorations, trees, and even sometimes gingerbread houses.
The best way to resort hop without having to worry about a
dining reservation at the resort is to use
Disney’s transportation. You can enjoy free transportation around Disney World, whether you’re a Disney World resort guest or not! So, feel free to hop on a bus, boat, Monorail, or Skyliner to get to where you’d like to go.
Something fun that we like to do is a Monorail or Skyliner “crawl.” Resorts along the
Monorail include Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and Polynesian. And resorts along the
Skyliner include Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera. Plus, if you get off the Skyliner at the Epcot station, you’ll be a short walk away from the Yacht Club, Beach Club, and Boardwalk.
It’s good to note that, due to the current construction in
Grand Floridian’s lobby, there will not be a gingerbread house display this year.
Of course, there will also be unique holiday decorations and fun experiences at each theme park and Disney Springs. This will be my first year attending
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and I can’t wait! I had a blast at
Jollywood Nights last year, so it will be fun to compare the two parties.
I hope you have the most magical holiday season! If you have any other questions, let us know. We’re always happy to help!
Jenn J.
