Hi Chad, and welcome to planDisney! We’re so happy you found us and stopped by with your question. I know traveling with food allergies always requires some extra planning, but rest assured that Disney does a phenomenal job of accommodating dietary needs. I think their safety protocols would earn the nod of approval from everyone’s favorite little chef, Remy!
Most Walt Disney World Resort restaurants can prepare meals free of the most common allergens, including eggs, fish, milk, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat. The allergy menus you can find online generally reflect these dietary needs. However, many restaurants can also prepare meals safe for other food allergies, including ingredients such as gluten, lactose, corn, citrus, nightshades, and MSG.
Unfortunately, I am unable to confirm whether the specific items you listed contain corn because menus, recipes, and ingredients are subject to change, so it is important to speak with someone at each restaurant on the day you dine. I encourage you to look over the protocols for
Special Diets Requests before your arrival. At table service restaurants, be sure to speak with your server about your family's food allergies, and you can also request to speak with a chef or a Special Diets-trained Cast Member. They will discuss menu options with you and will ensure appropriate preparation methods are used for your meal. When the meal arrives, it should come with a special visual marker indicating which dishes have been prepared for your dietary needs.
At quick service locations, it is important to ask to speak with the Special Diets-trained staff member, a chef, or the manager. They should also be able to provide you with a list of ingredients for menu items.
If anyone in your party has four or more food allergies, you should also send an email to
Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com no earlier than 14 days prior to your arrival to request a Special Diets Request Form. Since you are arriving in less than two weeks, you can send that email now! By doing so, you can receive additional assistance with your family’s food allergies.
Chad, I hope this helps provide some reassurance that Disney is prepared to help you experience all of the magic, even at the table! If you have any more questions as you plan your visit, please
stop back by and see me. I’m always here to help and love making your Disney vacation planning easier!
Magically,
Casey
