Hi Cynthia,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question!
Disney Cruise Line vacations are all about making memories and I can’t imagine a better place to make new memories with your mom. I keep hoping that I’ll be able to set sail with my Momma one of these days… But you’re absolutely right to just book the trip and hope that everything will work out to allow you to experience
Disney Magic at sea together.
That said, if you unfortunately have to cancel her part of the cruise voyage, I’m happy to say that you should be able to remove Guests in a given stateroom before the final payment date, without cancelling the entire reservation. All you’ll need to do in that case is to
contact Disney Cruise Line or your travel agent, and they’ll be able to make that change for you, subject to availability. Please note, however, that if you booked a restricted or guaranteed fare, you may have a different set of rules that will apply to your booking, including some portions that will be non-transferable and non-refundable.
I hope my answer helps you plan a new way to make memories with your entire family. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
