How easy is it to travel between wilderness lodge and fort wilderness?

    Hi Susan,

Welcome to planDisney! Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Disney's Wilderness Lodge are some of my family's favorite places to visit on a Disney World vacation. They are so close together but both have a distinct vibe so we love to frequent each of them.

Luckily, transportation between the two resorts is super easy. There is a bus route that runs between the two resorts. Be careful to ensure that you get on the right bus. I always check with the driver before hopping on to make sure that it will be stopping at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. You can not just hop on any of the theme park buses because they do not always stop at both resorts. You can also take the water taxi to Magic Kingdom and then hop on another water taxi there that will take you directly to Disney's Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness Resort. This route takes a little longer but is a fun, scenic way to explore the lake and get a little extra ride in.

While you are exploring Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, don't forget to check out the Hoop-Dee- Doo Musical Revue. It is a boot-scooting good time with dancing, laughs, and some delicious family-style food. I just recently ate here, and they were also fabulous about handling food allergies, with tons of great options to eat.

The My Disney Experience app is a must for navigating transportation. To navigate transportation at Disney World with the My Disney Experience app, you can open the app and locate your destination on the interactive map. Once you find your destination, simply select "Get Directions"
and the app will show you the best route and estimated travel time. We use this all the time and it is a real lifesaver.

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
