We are going to DW in Dec. Our friend (AP) is joining us for one night so we aren't going to add her to our reservation. We will be at MVMCP when she arrives. How can I let her in the room since we won't be there? Will my old magicband work?

    Hi Pamela,

Thanks for bringing your question to us today. I'm happy to help!

I'm excited to hear you'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort soon, and enjoying some quality time with a friend as well! I have a similar plan in place in just a few short weeks. My friend generously added me to her resort reservation so I could bunk with her during a quick overnight visit. I'm really looking forward to seeing her and enjoying time together in the parks.

I reached out to a Cast Member to confirm your options for this scenario. They indicated that you can call (407) 934-7639 to add your friend to your existing reservation as long as your room type can accommodate an additional guest. If you'd rather just allow your friend to visit you can also stop by your Disney Resorts Collection hotel front desk and ask them to add her for a single day. You'll just need to give them her name and when she arrives she can stop by the front desk to pick up a key card. This way you won't have to miss a minute of the fun while enjoying Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

Speaking of which, have you seen all the delicious new food and beverage offerings set to debut at the party? I've been studying the Disney Eats: Foodie Guide to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2023 and already mapped out a progressive dinner for my own visit. I think I'll start with the Holiday Turkey Burger from Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café and a Winter Milk Shake from The Friar’s Nook. I'm hoping to pick up a Gingerbread Cake at Golden Oak Outpost at some point, too. I think it would make a perfect midnight snack once back in our resort room, or even a sweet breakfast treat the next morning. These items are all exclusive to the party so I definitely don't want to miss them!

Pamela, if you have any additional questions or need personalized recommendations for your upcoming visit please jingle on back to planDisney and let us know. We're always glad to help make guests' visits as jolly as possible.

Wishing you a merry and magical trip,
    Amy
