If we are going to disneyland with a two year old is it worth getting the lightening pass for us?

    Hey there Lisa,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! Your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth will be here in just a few days - how exciting!

I was happy to get to answer this question because I have visited the Disneyland Resort when both of our kiddos were anywhere from six months old through those toddler years, and I have a lot of thoughts on how to make the trip smoother based on those trips I took with my family.

In my opinion, I highly recommend the Lightning Lane Multi Pass when visiting with young children. If for no other reason than it allows you to get access to the shorter Lightning Lane queues - whether your two-year-old is riding with you or you're doing Rider Switch. It can certainly be difficult to keep a little one entertained when having to stand in a long line, so shortening those wait times is a huge help. Plus, you get the added perk of unlimited downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass photos taken during your trip, which comes with your purchase of Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

There are two points in time that you're able to add the Lightning Lane Multi Pass - at the original point of purchase for your theme park tickets or after you've scanned your tickets to enter your first park during your trip. I'm guessing you've already purchased your tickets, which means you'll want to purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass after you enter a park on the first day of your visit.

Adding this feature is easy! Just open up the Disneyland Resort mobile app to the home screen after you scan your ticket and you'll see a green banner near the top of the screen that will walk you through the purchase.

Additionally, make sure to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers in each park - they are a game changer! They have an area to take a quick (and quiet) snack break, changing tables, and even toddler-sized toilets.

Thanks again for your question, Lisa! I hope you have a wonderful visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
