Hi there, Paula! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney from across the pond. I dearly love chatting about all things
Disney Vacation Club and I'm happy to share my thoughts on Membership to help you decide whether it's right for you!
It's always a good idea to do your homework about the ins and outs of DVC before choosing to join. Membership is a significant financial investment for most families, and you want to understand how, when, and where
Vacation Points can be used, and make an informed decision about which Home Resort is right for you. You also need to keep in mind that Members pay annual dues for the duration of their contract when looking at the costs.
Paula, I can't speak for anyone but myself as to whether joining Disney Vacation Club is a good investment--it's hard to put a price on years of Disney adventures with family and friends! However, I CAN say that we've never regretted our decision to join, and we use all of our Vacation Points every year. Our Membership has allowed us to vacation at all sorts of magical Disney destinations, including
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawai'i,
Disneyland Resort, and many of the DVC locations at
Walt Disney World Resort. Members enjoy deluxe accommodations at a much lower cost than the rack rate for these properties, with the added benefit of amenities like full kitchens and laundry facilities to make your travels a little more homey and a lot simpler.
My best advice for you is to schedule a
Virtual Meeting or On-Demand Webinar with a DVC Guide, who can answer any questions you have. They will also be up to speed on any current incentives for new Members, which may help you in your decision-making!
If you have any more questions about DVC from a Member perspective, please don't hesitate to
reach out anytime. Thanks so much for stopping by, Paula!
Stay Magical!
Susan
