Hey, howdy, hey Debra, and welcome to planDisney. It looks like you are in for a wild adventure at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park where at
Adventures Outpost, Mickey and Minnie are meeting their friends.
Parking is a personal preference. Some Guests like to arrive early to get the closest spot so they have the shortest walk while others are park hopping and need to park further away. Parking attendants will guide you to the next available spot. Even though you may want to park in one lot, the number of Guests arriving before you and the time will determine where you will end up. Wherever you park, Disney has you covered. Disney Transport Trams carry Guests to the parking lots of Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Butterfly, Dinosaur, Giraffe, Peacock, Unicorn, and Yeti.
If you are looking for the closest (which to me is the best), arrive early or purchase Preferred Parking access. This access gets you closest to the Oasis: the theme park entrance.
A nifty feature of the
My Disney Experience App is
Car Locator where you select the Parking Lot Name (Yeti, Peacock, etc.) and Row Number. It is very handy for drivers who tend to forget where their car is parked after the journey through Asia and Africa.
Remember your Wilderness Explorer moto: The wilderness must be explored... Caw Caw Rawr.
