Hey there, Donna! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with such a great question!
My family and I absolutely
love spending Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World Resort. The weather is usually mild and beautiful, the theme parks and Resorts are decked for the holidays, and there is no shortage of fantastic options for a Thanksgiving feast. Now, let's chat about my favorite topic: Disney dining.
Looking for traditional Thanksgiving fare? You're headed to the right place! My family and I found that on Thanksgiving Day, several restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort offered a special Thanksgiving menu. When we were there last Thanksgiving, even Sanaa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village, which typically offers amazing African dishes, was serving delicious food with a traditional Thanksgiving flare.
There are a few restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort that serve up scrumptious comfort food, similar to Thanksgiving fare, year-round!
Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom Park is known for its incredible all-you-care-to-enjoy roasted turkey, pot roast, roasted pork, traditional side dishes, and of course, the warm Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. Mmmm. Another perfect option in Magic Kingdom is
The Diamond Horseshoe. Enjoy the same delicious food as Liberty Tree Tavern inside an Old West music hall. I remember eating here as a child, and it just
feels like Thanksgiving to me.
In EPCOT,
Garden Grill Restaurant is another great option for a traditional Thanksgiving feast with Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. At Disney's Hollywood Studios, Minnie's Holiday Dine at
Hollywood & Vine is a great way to spend Thanksgiving with oh-so-yummy holiday food and oh-so-adorable characters dressed in their holiday best.
No
Advance Dining Reservation? No problem! Last year, we found that most of the Quick-Service dining locations at the Disney Resort hotels served a traditional Thanksgiving meal that looked delicious. And if you're headed to Disney Springs, you
must try the Holiday Turkey Sandwich at
Earl of Sandwich. It is a hot sandwich with turkey, cornbread stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, and mayonnaise. De-lish!
I hope this helps, Donna, and I hope you're now as hungry as I am and ready to enjoy your Thanksgiving feast at The Most Magical Place on Earth. Have the most wonderful time and enjoy the food and fun. Feel free to stop by any time with any questions you have.
You've got a (foodie) friend in me,
