If you didn't feel like riding a bus and you took the skyliner to Epcot, where would you arrive in Epcot? And how easy would it be to get on a boat to the magic Kingdom?

    Hiya, Frances! Welcome to planDisney!

It looks like your visit to Walt Disney World is just a few days away. How exciting! Soon you’ll be walking down Main Street U.S.A at the Magic Kingdom, strolling around the World at EPCOT, and enjoying everything the Vacation Kingdom of the World has to offer.

The Skyliner is a great transportation option that can take you to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Riviera Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Art of Animation Resort, and Pop Century Resort. The Skyliner station at EPCOT is located near the International Gateway entrance, on the east side of the theme park. This is near the Beach Club Resort and BoardWalk Inn.

There aren’t any boats that directly connect EPCOT to the Magic Kingdom, but you can still incorporate a water route into your journey between the two parks. You can take the Monorail from EPCOT to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and then transfer to the ferryboats, which will take you right to the Magic Kingdom. It might be quicker, though, to stick with Monorail and simply transfer to the Magic Kingdom Monorail line. At the time I’m writing this, the MyDisney Experience mobile app estimates the Monorail-only route to be 41 minutes and switching to the ferryboats to be 54 minutes.

Speaking of the My Disney Experience app, make sure you have it downloaded to your mobile device. Along with allowing you to make reservations and manage your tickets, its step-by-step directions feature is super useful. I end up using it during all of my vacations.

I hope this information helps with your upcoming visit, Frances. Don’t hesitate to come back if you have more questions or need recommendations. You're as welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical travels!
