Hey there, Charles!
One of my family’s favorite Disney World Resort hotel is Wilderness Lodge, which is right next door to the equally amazing Fort Wilderness Resort. I’m just the gal to help you find your way around The Most Magical Place on Earth. Let’s jump right into your question.
One way to get to EPCOT from
Fort Wilderness is to take a Campground internal bus to the Outpost Depot and then transfer to a bus that directly goes to the theme park. The bus ride is just about 15-20 minutes long.
However, if you’d rather include a
boat ride on your route (I don’t blame you—it’s a relaxing way to start the day), the option is available. First, hop on a water taxi that will take you directly to
Magic Kingdom within 15 minutes. From there, take the Disney Monorail toward
EPCOT. You’ll transfer to another Monorail at the Transportation & Ticket Center and will arrive at EPCOT. This route is definitely more scenic than a bus ride; however, it will most likely take a longer time—just about 30-45 minutes in total.
You can also take a blue-flag boat that connects Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge to the Contemporary hotel. From the Contemporary, take the Resort Monorail toward the Transportation & Ticket Center and transfer to the Monorail heading to EPCOT. This should cut the trip down about 5-10 minutes.
Charles, I hope that this helps you plan your adventure. While you’re at Fort Wilderness, don’t skip Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. It’s a rootin’ tootin’ good time that has American Southern cuisine and live entertainment. Please
revisit us here at planDisney if you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions.
Magic always,
