I am currently planning a family trip for May 2025. My points are added each December so my 2024 points are not added until end of year. My question is can 2025 points be borrowed for the May trip before 2024 points are technically added to account

Welcome Home, Rebecca! Thanks for making a return trip to planDisney--it's great to see you again. It's always a good time to talk about all things Disney Vacation Club!  Just like the Genie, you ain't never had a friend like me--now let's make some vacation magic!

Every time I start to plan our family's next DVC adventure, I always wind up triple-checking my Vacation Points math. Banking and borrowing are serious business, so I want to make sure I get it right! As you correctly calculated, you're in your December 2023 Use Year, and your 2024 points will hit your account on December 1, 2024.

Rebecca, you are in luck! I chatted with the always-helpful folks at Member Services, who let me know that you should be A-OK to borrow points from your 2025 Use Year for your planned May 2025 vacation. I recommend calling to make your reservation to ensure you have all of your (Daisy) ducks in a row, as borrowing and banking are both final transactions. This means that once you borrow 2025 Vacation Points, they must be used in the Use Year that you've pulled them into and they will expire at the end of that Use Year.

Hopefully, this info is just what you need to make your vacation dreams a reality--no magic lamp required! If you have any other questions about your DVC Membership, please feel free to reach out again anytime. Thanks again for stopping by!

    Stay Magical!
