My children are 14 and 11, we have the package which includes the quick service dining plan. Will they both get adult credits rather than children

Charlie! You must be getting excited to chow down here in the States on your upcoming visit! I absolutely love the Disney Dining Plan because it takes the guesswork out of budgeting for meals, snacks, and drinks when planning a vacation. Let me take a moment to welcome you to planDisney, where my fellow panelists and I treat each question as if it were our own because we are regular guests, just like you! I'm happy to answer your question about meal credits for your children.

Since your kids are both age 10 or older, they are charged as adults when purchasing the dining plan. That being said, there really isn't a distinction between adult or child meal credits. All credits are created equal in Mickey's eyes, and you will simply redeem the meals and snacks as you go. You may be thinking of the stipulation that children age 3-9 must order from the children's menu where available. If your kids were in this age range they would be limited to that menu depending on the dining location, but you won't have to worry about this. If your kids would prefer to order from the kid's menu, they totally can! The best course of action is to speak to your server, let them know you'll be using dining plan credits for your meal, and ask about portions and the kid's menu (if applicable). They will be more than happy to answer your questions and ensure you have a fantastic dining experience.

Don't forget to maximize the value on your Resort Refillable Mug, too! You can fill that bad boy up at any of the Disney Resorts Collection hotels, and I have skedaddled from the International Gateway at EPCOT over to BoardWalk Deli to get a crisp and refreshing Diet Coke. You could even take a break on your Magic Kingdom day and hop on the monorail for a tour of the resorts on the loop, sipping from your refillable mug at each stop!

I hope this helps you use your dining plan, Charlie! If you need restaurant recommendations or have questions about visiting us here across the pond, please reach out and ask. We specialize in making vacation planning fun, festive, and stress-free.

    Stay magical,
    Scott
